Basic procedure if you would like to write your thesis with me:
1. Please contact me and let me know your topic.
2. If you have your own topic (e.g., in collaboration with a company), please write to me explaining what it’s about and what the goal is.
3. I will get back to you to let you know whether I can supervise the topic and will send you a proposed date. Please bring a suggestion for a second advisor to the meeting, especially for external topics.
4. After we’ve agreed on the topic, write a six-page proposal (excluding references and outline) with the following structure:
– Motivation
– Research Objective and Research Questions
– Expected Results
– Timeline
– Potential Problems
– Proposed Outline
– References
5. We will review the abstract together, and you will register the thesis.
6. Subsequent meetings will be held as needed or at my request. For topics I propose, we usually meet more frequently.
7. Four weeks before the planned submission date, I would like to receive a progress report, and you will receive feedback.
8. Submission of the thesis.
